6-Day Fees & Rider Requirements

  • Nonrefundable registration fee $100
  • Minimum Fundraising requirement $2,500
    • Personal fundraising website will be provided
    • Fundraising support and guidance will be provided
  • Rider Experience
    • Should be able to ride 80 miles at 15 mph average including stops
    • Everyone has bad days. If you find any day's ride is too much, we'll be happy to sag you forward. You should have fun not pain.

Time, Distance & Services

  • Ride Dates: May 5 - 10, 2019
  • Ride rain or shine except in lightning and very strong storms
  • 535 miles total, average ride of 89 miles per day
  • Small size - Limited to 100 riders
  • Riding with a buddy or in groups strongly encouraged
  • Rest Stops every 20-25 miles
  • Fully Supported with SAG vehicles, Mechanical and First Aid Support
  • Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner provided (except Houston start)
  • Rest Stop snacks and daily post ride food and drink provided
  • Double occupancy motel accommodations provided. Single option available for an additional fee.
  • Bus trip back to Houston provided
  • Bicycle transport back to Houston provided
  • Tour jersey and luggage bag provided

For those that want to ride Tour du Rouge but can’t take 6 days away from work, we have two 3-day partial tour options. Ride either the first 3 days or the last 3 days, both include tested routes, experienced support and great food, drink and camaraderie. You’ll need to make arrangements to get to the start hotel and get home from the finish hotel. We’ll handle the rest.

  • Houston to Lafayette (Overnight in Beaumont and Sulphur)
  • Average of 94 miles per day (90, 92, 101)

  • Lafayette to New Orleans (Overnight in Morgan City and Gonzales)
  • Average of 84 miles per day (87, 86, 80)

Additional information for both 3-Day Tours

  • You are responsible for transportation of you and your bike to your start hotel and from the finish hotel.
