ANNOUNCEMENT: |
The Tour is changing. This is the LAST year for the 6-day Tour format. We sincerely hope you'll join us for this last Tour du Rouge. |
This is a 530 mile, six-day ride along the Gulf Coast. Each night you will enjoy good food and entertainment with your fellow riders. Most importantly you'll be helping The Arc provide needed services to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
AN OPEN LETTER ABOUT CHANGING THE RIDE.
Dear Tour du Rouge Alumni and Friends,
We are writing to share some important news with our Tour du Rouge family. After much thought and consideration, 2026 will mark the final year of Tour du Rouge. Over the years, this ride has built lasting friendships, unforgettable memories, and incredible support for The Arc and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. But times have changed and we must change too. Thank you to everyone who responded to our recent survey-your input was invaluable in our decision-making process.
We sincerely hope you'll join us for this last Tour du Rouge. Your participation will not only celebrate the legacy of this remarkable ride but also continue to advance our mission of supporting and empowering people with disabilities to live, learn, work, and thrive in their communities. Dates and registration details will be announced soon, and as valued alumni, you will have the first opportunity to register. At the same time, we're excited to share that we are already working on a new, shorter cycling event. While different in scope, it will uphold the same exceptional design and premiere experience that our cyclists have always appreciated and enjoyed. More details will be shared soon, and we hope you'll be part of this new chapter with us.
For those who expressed interest in serving on the planning committee for a new cycling event, I'll be reaching out to you soon. Thank you for being such an important part of the Tour du Rouge community. We look forward to riding together one last time in 2026-and to creating new traditions with you in the future.
With gratitude, Dory

Join us for the 17th Tour du Rouge from the Bayou City to the Crescent City, May 3-8, 2026. Last year's ride was a huge success and we've made changes to improve it. But don't take our word, read some of the comments from our Facebook page or watch this video, "My Tour Friends" from one of our prior Tours. We travel with and visit Arc clients during the Tour. Ed, on the left, the video’s star and a client, traveled with us throughout the Tour.
